'Mumbai-style' terrorist plot foiled in London after UK police arrests four suspects

UK police have foiled a suspected terrorist plot to launch a 'Mumbai-style attack' in London after four men were arrested on suspicion of preparing and instigating acts of terrorism.
The suspects had been under surveillance by police and MI5 since the time intelligence reports raised doubts about them having access to an arms cache, the Guardian reports.
Police stopped two men travelling in a car in east London after firing Hatton rounds to get into the vehicle, which was pre-planned.
One of the two suspects is believed to be a British national of Turkish origin and another one to be a British national of Algerian origin, the report added.
A 28-year-old British of Azerbaijani origin was also arrested in west London, and another British national of Pakistani origin was arrested in south-west London.
