Mystery behind Jack the Ripper's identity revealed

Best-selling author, Patricia Cornwell has claimed that Walter Sickert, an influential artist with ties to the British royal family is Jack the Ripper.
The 57-year-old crime writer said that she has unearthed evidence and she has cracked the case, News.com.au reported.
Cornwell has spent millions to find the serial killer, who had terrorized Victorian London.
She claimed that she has discovered watermarks on some of the letters allegedly sent by the Ripper to police that match paper used by Sickert.
Cornwell told the London Evening Standard that it's a completely circumstantial case with the only real science being after all these years is the forensic analysis.
She had first theorised that Sickert was the man behind the murder of five prostitutes in London's East End in her 2002 book, 'Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper - Case Closed'.
