A New York Times journalist has left Beijing after Chinese authorities did not renew his visa for more than a year.
The Foreign Correspondents' Club of China (FCCC) pointed out that Austin Ramzy, who had worked in China for six years, was the third NYT journalist not to have been given a resident journalist visa in 18 months, the BBC reports.
Ramzy applied for a visa in June after joining the NYT from Time magazine, the report added.
Chinese authorities have been angered with a story published in late 2012 in The New York Times on the personal wealth of relatives of former Premier Wen Jiabao.
NYT's website has since been blocked in China, and there has been increasing pressure on foreign correspondents working in the country.
