Former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash believes that Britain number one Andy Murray got melted down and subsequently collapsed during his Australian Open final defeat against Novak Djokovic.
Djokovic won his fifth Australian Open title with a 7-6 (7-5) 6-7 (4-7) 6-3 6-0 victory over Murray in a match that lasted three hours and 40 minutes.
Reflecting on Murray's performance, Cash said that he melted down and he absolutely collapsed, adding that things started snowballing for him once he lost concentration and in the fourth set everything went against him, the BBC reported.
The two-time Melbourne finalist further said that Murray had not put up a great fight, adding that if he wants to become a great player he has to fix this, the report added.
Cash added that Murray has got to focus on why he had the meltdown and if he works on that he could see himself holding the Wimbledon trophy again.
