Highlighting the killing of a BSF jawan along the Line of Control and Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's warning on use of nuclear weapons, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Friday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays emphasis on 'photo opportunity' and uploading pictures on Twitter rather than respecting what India needs.
"We do not know what kind of issues were part of discussions , what transpired exactly .While I strongly feel that our PM values photo opportunity, uploading pictures on twitter than respecting what India needs ,what a common citizen needs. The other day somebody from Pakistan was threatening us with nuclear war. A jawan has lost his life. And in this regard, just a good bilateral talk between the leaders would not reflect affective message to the country." he said.
"We also want to build good relations. But 'photo opportunity' and pictures on Twitter of shaking hand would not be the solution for our country's concerns relating to terror, economy and other issues." he added.
Prime Minister Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif, who held bilateral talks in Ufa, Russia, have agreed to cooperate with each other to eliminate terrorism from South Asia, noting that both sides have a collective responsibility to ensure peace.
