PM Modi greets nation on occasion of 'Akshay Tritiya'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today conveyed his greetings to the people on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya.

"I extend my greeting on the occasion on Akshay Tritiya and I pray for bumper crop for farmers and happiness, prosperity and success for all citizens," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is a holy day for Hindus and Jains.

It is an auspicious day of the birthday of Lord Parasurama who is the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
