PM Modi greets nation on Valmiki Jayanti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has greeted the nation on the occasion of Valmiki Jayanti.

"My greetings on Valmiki Jayanti," he said in his message.

Maharshi Valmiki, the greatest sage of all times, has written the great epic 'Ramayan' which is based on the life of Lord Rama.

He gave shelter to Sita in his hermitage where she gave birth to her two sons Luv and Kush. He educated both children and later was instrumental in introducing them to their father.
