Rodgers says 'disrespectful' 40 mln-and-one-pound Suarez bid from Arsenal 'lacks class'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly accused Arsenal of lacking class following its attempt to activate a disputed clause in Luis Suarez's contract by one pound.
Liverpool had insisted for a bid over 40 million pounds for the player and Arsenal offered a pound just above the said amount which Rodgers said was disrespectful, the Guardian reports.
Rodgers said that he was surprised at Arsenal's bid which was nowhere close to the player's worth and added that he did not even want to sell Suarez, the report added.
