Zulfiqar Babar, the Pakistan spinner who emerged as the least expected man-of-the-series during his side's win in the Twenty20 part of the West Indies tour, is targeting a place in the Test and the ODI national side.
According to The Dawn, before the 34-year-old left-arm spinner arrived on the international arena those unfamiliar with Pakistan cricket often asked who he was but he had quickly earned a distinction for his performances.
One of the achievements that many people are unaware of is that Zulfiqar is one of those rare breed of cricketers to have captured all 10 wickets in an innings of a first-class match, the report said.
The player said that he never shied away from putting in extra work because he had a desire to do well and he was always confident that some day the efforts he had put in would be noticed and acknowledged in some way or the other.
