Russian church shooting: Death toll rises to 5

At least five people died in a shooting incident at a church in Russia's Dagestan region.

A gunman on Sunday opened fire on people leaving a church service.

According to Russian news agency TASS, the incident occurred outside a church in the town of Kizlyar.

"Four people were killed. The shooter was shot dead," the agency quoted Kizlyar's mayor Alexander Shuvalov as saying.

The motive behind the shooting is yet to be ascertained.
