One sailor of the Indian Navy lost his leg while two others sustained injuries after a cylinder blast aboard Naval diving support ship INS Nireekshak.
The ship returned to port around midnight on April 16 and all the three sailors were shifted to a military hospital.
The right leg of one of the sailors had to be amputated above the knee while two other sailors were treated for splinter injuries.
The sailors were admitted to a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram but later shifted to Mumbai.
The condition of all the three sailors is said to be stable now.
An enquiry has been ordered in this regard.
