Former captain Shoaib Malik and speedster Mohammad Sami have been recalled to the side for the two T20 internationals to be played against Zimbabwe in Lahore.
Sami, who is making a comeback after two and a half years, had played his last game against Sri Lanka in 2012.
Umar Akmal, who had a poor World Cup campaign, also figured in the squad that was announced yesterday, the Dawn reported.
Uncapped 19-year-old opener Nauman Anwar and former under-19 skipper Imad Wasim have also been included in the team following their superb performances in the domestic games.
Anwar Ali, Bilawal Bhatti and Hammad Azam have also been recalled, while Saad Nasim, Imran Khan and Haris Sohail have been dropped from the Pakistan T20 squad that last played against Bangladesh in Mirpur.
Zimbabwe are scheduled to play two T20 and three One-Day Internationals at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The two T20s would be played on May 22 and 24 respectively.
The side will be led by star all-rounder Shahid Afridi.
