Schools in Lanka's Western Province to be closed for Pope's visit

In view of Pope Francis One's upcoming five-day visit to Sri Lanka, the island nation's Western Province has announced the closure of several schools from January 11 to 15.

According to a report of the Daily News, the schools will provide facilities to security personnel on duty to ensure strict security in the Greater Colombo area.

The report further states that the schools will reopen on January 16.
