Steve McQueen to be honored with European Film Academy award

Steve McQueen is all set to be honored with European Film Academy award for his European achievement in world cinema, it has been revealed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the '12 Years a Slave' helmer kicked off his career with short videos before gaining fame with hugely successful movie 2008's 'Hunger'.

McQueen will receive the award in December, 2014.
