The discovery of a truck filled with chickens and decomposing bodies of migrants in Austria has brought to the fore a horrific reality and plight of refugees trying to escape from countries like Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan.
According to news.com.au, the discovery comes as a summit was held in Austrian capital Vienna on how to deal with the migrant crisis that has been described as the 'worst' refugee crisis since World War II.
Many people have come to Balkan nations like Hungary, Serbia and Macedonia as means of escaping from their war-torn homes in search of a better lifestyle.
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that never before in history have people in such large numbers fled from their homes to escape both war and persecution.
