The nomination papers for election of the Speaker of new assembly in Uttar Pradesh will be filed today.
The election will be held tomorrow. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not yet announced its nominee for the post but name of senior party leader Hridaya Narayan Dixit is round the corner for the post.
A total of 319 members of 403-member house took oath yesterday.
The oath was administered by Protem Speaker Fateh Bahadur and four other MLAs nominated by the Governor,
Seven members took oath in Sanskrit including Anupama Jaisawal, a member of the Yogi Council of Ministers.
First of all, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi took the oath followed by his cabinet colleagues.
