At least five terrorists belonging to the Islamic State (IS) group have been killed in a series of airstrikes carried out in eastern Nangarhar and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan.
Khaama Press quoted the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the East as saying that the airstrikes were conducted on Saturday by the United States military using unmanned aerial vehicles.

Three terrorists were killed and one of them was injured in the drone strike in Deh Bala district of Nangarhar, while at least two terrorists were killed in a similar airstrike conducted in Chapa Dara district of Kunar.
The terrorist group has not commented on the incident so far.
Meanwhile, Afghan Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that at least 63 militants including 14 belonging to the IS had been killed in operations by the Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours.
