A 107-year old man was reportedly shot by the US police after he held two people at gun point in Arkansas.
The police officers rescued the two people from the suspect Monroe Isadore's home and tried to arrest him who had locked himself inside a bedroom.
Officers shot Isadore when he opened fire on them as they entered the room, the BBC reports.
According to the report, the police had tried to negotiate with Isadore but were forced to open fire when he shot at them through the closed bedroom door.
Isadore was killed in cross firing, the report added.
