US threatens to attack Syrian air defenses if attempts made to meddle in IS strikes

The White House has warned that the US will take action against Syria's air defenses if it went after American planes launching airstrikes in the country.
According to Fox News, officials revealed that the US was aware of the location of Syrian air defenses, along with their command and control centers.
A senior official said that if Syrian President Bashar Assad used his air defenses to threaten US forces, the Americans would put his air defenses at risk.
US President Barack Obama had earlier authorized the US army to carry out airstrikes inside Syria to tackle the Islamic State.
However, the US army has not launched any airstrikes in Syria as of yet.
