There was an exchange of hot words between the state Education Minister, Mohammad Akbar Lone and Peoples Democratic Party legislators Nayeem Akhter and Nizamuddin Bhat at Bandipora today.

PDP leaders said that Nizamuddin Bhat had raised some demands concerning his constituency at the joint meeting in Bandipora and was interrupted by Akbar Lone.

Shouting slogans and marching through streets, PDP leaders and cadres said that they would boycott state's Education Minister, Mohammad Akbar Lone .

"We have decided that we would boycott the state's education minister, Mohammad Akbar Lone for hurling abuses to our leader at a meeting. Our party would not keep any contact with him. He has been very abusive and if this is the education he has got, we are not ready to accept him," said PDP leader, Manzoor Ahmad.

They alleged that in the exchange of words Lone abused Bhat's father and also spoke ill of the PDP patron, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed , after which the meeting was boycotted.
