Consumer Durables stocks move up
Consumer Durables stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index increasing 201.62 points or 0.78% at 25920.73 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Consumer Durables index, Rajesh Exports Ltd (up 1.83%), Whirlpool of India Ltd (up 1.68%),Titan Company Ltd (up 1.16%),Blue Star Ltd (up 0.93%),V I P Industries Ltd (up 0.44%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were TTK Prestige Ltd (up 0.29%), and Metropolis Healthcare Ltd (up 0.25%).
On the other hand, Bajaj Electricals Ltd (down 0.75%), Crompton Greaves Consumer Electrical Ltd (down 0.57%), and Voltas Ltd (down 0.21%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 120.51 or 0.32% at 38334.98.
The Nifty 50 index was up 30 points or 0.26% at 11371.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 12.14 points or 0.09% at 12799.73.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.71 points or 0.11% at 4343.62.
On BSE,718 shares were trading in green, 599 were trading in red and 83 were unchanged.
