FMCG stocks edge lower

FMCG stocks were trading in red, with the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index decreasing 37.78 points or 0.32% at 11595.41 at 13:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE FMCG Sector index, Waterbase Ltd (down 4.4%), Godrej Agrovet Ltd (down 3.18%),Prataap Snacks Ltd (down 2.72%),DFM Foods Ltd (down 2.07%),Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd (down 1.67%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Coastal Corporation Ltd (down 1.59%), ADF Foods Ltd (down 1.49%), Marico Ltd (down 1.46%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (down 1.42%), and CCL Products (India) Ltd (down 1.28%).

On the other hand, Eveready Industries India Ltd (up 14.38%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd (up 10.53%), and Mcleod Russel India Ltd (up 9.95%) turned up.

 

At 13:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 242.81 or 0.59% at 41385.47.

The Nifty 50 index was up 69.85 points or 0.58% at 12159.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 96.09 points or 0.66% at 14749.6.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 36.27 points or 0.71% at 5117.07.

On BSE,1365 shares were trading in green, 955 were trading in red and 153 were unchanged.
