Net outflow of Rs 452.15 crore on 9 December 2015
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 452.15 crore yesterday, 9 December 2015, compared with net outflow of Rs 443.23 crore on Tuesday, 8 December 2015.
The net outflow of Rs 452.15 crore from the secondary equity markets on 8 December 2015 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3105.59 crore and gross sales of Rs 3557.74 crore. On that day, the Sensex lost 274.28 points or 1.08% to settle at 25,036.05, its lowest closing level since 7 September 2015.
There was a net inflow of Rs 0.05 crore into the category 'primary markets & others' on 9 December 2015, which was a result of gross purchases of Rs 0.05 crore and gross sales of Rs nil crore.
FPIs have sold shares worth a net Rs 4059.60 crore into the secondary equity markets in this month so far (till 9 December 2015). They have sold shares worth a net Rs 8413.23 crore into the secondary equity markets last month.
