FPIs steps up selling

Net outflow of Rs 1280.40 crore on 2 July 2018
Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) sold stocks worth a net Rs 1280.40 crore into the secondary equity markets on 2 July 2018, higher than net outflow of Rs 200.71 crore on 29 June 2018.
The net outflow of Rs 1280.40 crore into the secondary equity markets on 2 July 2018 was a result of gross purchases of Rs 3408.07 crore and gross sales of Rs 4688.47 crore.
There was a net inflow of Rs 1438.69 crore from the 'primary market & others' category on 2 July 2018.
FPIs have sold stocks worth a net Rs 24851.26 crore into the secondary equity markets in calendar 2018 so far (till 2 July 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 9768.38 crore from the secondary equity markets in calendar 2017.
FPIs have bought stocks worth a net Rs 20317.33 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2018 so far (till 2 July 2018). They bought stocks worth a net Rs 41485.09 crore from the primary market & others' category in calendar 2017.
