GMR Infrastructure gains on signing MoU with a Japanese Bank

GMR Infrastructure rose 1.75% to Rs 26.20 at 13:50 IST on BSE after the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan Bank for international cooperation on 2 September 2014.

The announcement was made during market hours today, 2 September 2014.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 165.67 points or 0.67% at 27,034.22.

On BSE, so far 15.16 lakh shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 20.09 lakh shares in the past two weeks.

The stock hit a high of Rs 26.50 and a low of Rs 25.60 so far during the day.

 

The MoU was signed during the course of the State visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Japan. The objective of MoU is to provide low cost long duration financial assistance to Japanese companies investing in infrastructure projects of GMR Group. Over the next 12 months, GMC and JBIC will work on identifying projects to attract Japanese investments.
