Hindustan Construction Company jumped 11.69% to Rs 27.60 at 15:22 IST on BSE after a bulk deal of 33.24 lakh shares was executed on the scrip at Rs 25.80 per share at 10:17 IST on BSE today, 21 October 2015.
Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was down 30.12 points, or 0.11%, to 27,276.71
The stock jumped on huge volume. On BSE, so far 1.51 crore shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 12.62 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 29.20 and a low of Rs 24.90 so far during the day. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 40.90 on 3 March 2015. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 16.35 on 25 August 2015.
The stock had outperformed the market over the past one month till 20 October 2015, rising 41.31% compared with 4.15% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had also outperformed the market in past one quarter, rising 2.27% as against Sensex's 3.92% decline.
