Information Technology shares fall

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 182.52 points or 1.13% at 15934.76 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, TVS Electronics Ltd (down 4.97%), Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 3.61%),AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 3%),Datamatics Global Services Ltd (down 2.98%),Ramco Systems Ltd (down 2.93%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 2.62%), Zen Technologies Ltd (down 2.6%), Majesco Ltd (down 2.38%), 63 Moons Technologies Ltd (down 2.34%), and eClerx Services Ltd (down 1.95%).

On the other hand, 3i Infotech Ltd (up 5.93%), Trigyn Technologies Ltd (up 2.9%), and Nucleus Software Exports Ltd (up 2.46%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 308.16 or 0.73% at 41637.21.

The Nifty 50 index was down 88.25 points or 0.71% at 12264.1.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 29.67 points or 0.2% at 14679.03.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 16.24 points or 0.32% at 5025.65.

On BSE,910 shares were trading in green, 1468 were trading in red and 173 were unchanged.
