Information Technology stocks rise
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index increasing 102.15 points or 0.62% at 16448.53 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (up 3.4%), Birlasoft Ltd (up 3.08%),Subex Ltd (up 2.29%),Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (up 2.2%),Newgen Software Technologies Ltd (up 1.98%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (up 1.89%), Infosys Ltd (up 1.39%), Sonata Software Ltd (up 1.17%), TVS Electronics Ltd (up 1%), and Persistent Systems Ltd (up 0.96%).
On the other hand, AXISCADES Engineering Technologies Ltd (down 3.49%), Aptech Ltd (down 2.94%), and Cyient Ltd (down 1.89%) turned lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 433.6 or 1.05% at 40736.52.
The Nifty 50 index was down 132 points or 1.09% at 11948.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 79.44 points or 0.54% at 14667.08.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 38.57 points or 0.76% at 5056.86.
On BSE,571 shares were trading in green, 1026 were trading in red and 108 were unchanged.
