Three oil exploration and production firms fell 0.41% to 1.44% at 10:03 IST on BSE after steep fall in global crude oil prices yesterday, 2 December 2015.
Cairn India (down 1.42% at Rs 135.50), Oil India (down 0.41% at Rs 385.20) and ONGC (down 1.44% at Rs 232.40) edged lower. Reliance Industries (up 0.59% at Rs 982.35) edged higher.
Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 134.06 points or 0.51% at 25,983.79.
In the global commodities markets, Brent for January settlement was up 23 cents at $42.72 a barrel. The contract had declined $1.95 a barrel or 4.38% to settle at $42.49 a barrel during the previous trading session.
