Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index registers a drop of 5.95%, NIFTY Crashes 2.50%

Nifty Media index closed down 5.95% at 1153.15 today. The index has lost 37.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd fell 19.99%, Balaji Telefilms Ltd gained 12.95% and Inox Leisure Ltd slipped 5.61%. The Nifty Media index has decreased 54.00% over last one year compared to the 21.77% fall in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Financial Services index has slid 4.58% and Nifty Bank index is down 4.10% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 2.50% to close at 8967.05 while the SENSEX has declined 2.58% to close at 30579.09 today.
