Quick Wrap: Nifty Private Bank Index falls 5.88%, NIFTY Tumbles 3.03%

Nifty Private Bank index ended down 5.88% at 10430.7 today. The index has slipped 5.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, IndusInd Bank Ltd shed 12.23%, Bandhan Bank Ltd slipped 9.56% and RBL Bank Ltd dropped 8.74%. The Nifty Private Bank index has fallen 38.00% over last one year compared to the 22.54% slide in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index has dropped 5.42% and Nifty Auto index is down 5.31% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 3.03% to close at 8981.45 while the SENSEX has dropped 3.20% to close at 30636.71 today.
