Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index falls 1.93%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 1.93% at 2249.25 today. The index has slipped 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd shed 7.57%, Indian Bank dropped 3.39% and Punjab & Sind Bank slipped 3.11%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has fallen 20.00% over last one year compared to the 12.65% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty FMCG index gained 1.88% and Nifty Consumption index gained 1.19% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.77% to close at 12201.2 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.85% to close at 41565.9 today.
