Nifty PSU Bank index closed down 3.80% at 3250.85 today. The index has added 16.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Canara Bank fell 4.60%, Bank of India dropped 4.49% and Bank of Baroda slipped 4.17%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has decreased 6.00% over last one year compared to the 16.39% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Metal index has slid 1.91% and Nifty Pharma index has slid 1.21% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.36% to close at 11429.5 while the SENSEX has declined 0.41% to close at 37869.23 today.
