Rabi Crop Sowing Crosses 635 Lakh Hectare Area

The total rabi sown area, as per reports received from states, during the week ending 24 January 2014 stands at 635.13 lakh hectare as compared to 603.39 lakh hectare at this time last year.

Total sown area under wheat, pulses and oilseeds exceeds the normal area for the entire season.
