RPower gains after signing MoU with Govt of Bangladesh to develop 3000 MW power project

Reliance Power rose 0.89% to Rs 45.15 at 9:30 IST on BSE after the company said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bangladesh Power Development Board.

The company made announcement on Saturday, 6 June 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 67.47 points or 0.25% at 26,701.02.

On BSE, so far 1.66 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 11.19 lakh shares in the past one quarter.

Shares of power generation company hit a high of Rs 46.40 and a low of Rs 45 so far during the day.

Reliance Power (RPower) said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) to develop 3,000 megawatts (MW) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) based combined cycle power project in Bangladesh in phases, along with a floating storage and re-gasification unit (FSRU) based LNG terminal to supply re-gasified LNG to the power project.

 

RPower's consolidated net profit rose 2.8% to Rs 276.47 crore on 20.1% rise in total income to Rs 1680.77 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014.
