Russian Markets Put Up Gains On Monday

Stock markets in Russia put up gains on Monday, 28 April 2014, even as concern about a new round of economic sanctions by the U.S. and European Union outweighed demand for the higher yield assets from Russian companies to pay taxes before public holidays. At local bourses, the 30-stock Micex Index rose by 1.49% to 1,299.13 by the close in Moscow.
