Greaves Cotton clocked volume of 14.62 lakh shares by 13:53 IST on BSE, a 82.47-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 18,000 shares. The stock fell 0.83% at Rs 124.85.
Essar Oil notched up volume of 10.99 lakh shares, a 35.59-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 31,000 shares. The stock jumped 12.35% to Rs 117.35.
AstraZeneca Pharma India saw volume of 1.68 lakh shares, a 10.12-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 17,000 shares. The stock was locked at 20% upper circuit at Rs 1,147.70 after the company announced the launch of Forxiga (dapaglifozin), a breakthrough treatment for Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
