Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 38.71 points, or 0.12% to 31,633.
Simplex Infrastructures clocked volume of 1.14 lakh shares by 13:35 IST on BSE, a 81.87-times surge over two-week average daily volume of 1,000 shares. The stock rose 0.02% to Rs 477.
PI Industries notched up volume of 5.15 lakh shares, a 77.65-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 7,000 shares. The stock fell 0.40% to Rs 738.
Parag Milk Foods saw volume of 5.24 lakh shares, a 19.37-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 27,000 shares. The stock rose 2.95% to Rs 263.70. The Reserve Bank of India notified after market hours yesterday, 4 October 2017, that the foreign investment limit for investment by foreign institutional investors (FIIs)/foreign portfolios investors (FPIs) in Parag Milk Foods has increased from 24% to 40% of its paid up capital.
