Welspun Corp net profit rises 294.90% in the March 2014 quarter

Sales decline 25.72% to Rs 1192.51 crore

Net profit of Welspun Corp rose 294.90% to Rs 98.25 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 24.88 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013. Sales declined 25.72% to Rs 1192.51 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 1605.46 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2013.

For the full year,net loss reported to Rs 17.54 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against net profit of Rs 53.09 crore during the previous year ended March 2013. Sales declined 26.61% to Rs 4867.61 crore in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 6632.17 crore during the previous year ended March 2013.
