Abu Dhabi, April 2 (IANS/WAM) The UAE based Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in cooperation with the UAE embassy in Lebanon, on Saturday distributed aid to 5,000 displaced Syrian and Lebanese families in Tripoli.

The move is in implementation of the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

An official source at KF said that the distribution of assistance is part of the UAE's response to meet the needs of the displaced Syrians in Lebanon. The campaign targets 44,383 displaced Syrian and Lebanese families across Lebanon.
