6 policemen killed in militant ambush in south Kashmir

At least six policemen, including a Station House Officer, were killed in a militant ambush on a police party near Achabal town in south Kashmir, police sources said.

The attack took place in Thajiwara, some five km from here. Two civilians were injured in the attack.

The attack came hours after security forces killed two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Arwani village of south Kashmir.
