Advani settles for bronze at 6 Red Snooker World meet

Fifteen-time World champion Pankaj Advani settled for a bronze medal after going down in the semi-final against Chinese Ding Junhui at the prestigious Sangsom 6 Red Snooker World Championship here on Friday.
Junhui overcame the 31-year-old Indian 7-4 (0-37, 68-0 (64), 73-0 (73), 49-26, 49-15
7-57, 0-63, 67-0 (67), 67-0 (67) 20-34, 69-9) in the semi-final.
"A great run comes to an end. Really enjoyed the World 6 red event in Bangkok.Happy to have won a historic medal and sad I couldn't go further," Advani wrote on Twitter.
Ding was too good today. Good luck to both (Stuart) Bingham and Ding for the final tomm."

In the quarter-finals, the ace cueist received a walkover from Michael Holt who withdrew due to personal reasons.
Earlier, on qualifying to the Last 32 knockout stage, Advani outplayed Germany's Lukas Kleckers 6-0.
