Australia's Smith to return home

Australian all-rounder Steve Smith will return home from the ongoing tour of England because of a strain.

The 24-year-old sustained a minor left quad strain in training Wednesday and after a demanding Ashes Series, Cricket Australia (CA) decided Thursday that it is best for him to return.

The CA said in a statement that there will be no replacement for Smith.
