Shiboprosad Mukhopadhyay, who co-directed Bengali film "Bela Seshe" with Nandita Roy, is overwhelmed with the response to his movie, which has managed a "dream run" of 200 days at the theatre.

The duo brought back veteran filmmaker Satyajit Ray's iconic "Ghare Bhaire" pair -- actors Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta -- on the big screen after 30 years.

"The entire team of 'Bela Seshe' is completely thrilled with this news. It is indeed a big feat for a film to continue its dream run for 200 days. I am truly overwhelmed with the love the audiences are showering upon the film," Mukhopadhyay said in a statement.

Eros International released the family drama across the country.

"After a long time we are witnessing families flocking to cinemas and repeat viewings in Bengal. The success of this film goes to show how good content will always be a winner," Nandu Ahuja, senior vice President, India Theatrical, Eros International Media Ltd, said.

"Bela Seshe" is a story of relationships that explores the intricacies of one's married life.
