CWG: Dipika-Joshna in women's doubles final; Dipika-Ghoshal win silver (Squash Roundup)

Defending champions and stormed into the final of women's doubles category while Dipika and clinched silver in the mixed doubles of the competition at the 21st here on Saturday.

In the women's double, Dipika and Joshna won in straight games 2-0 (11-10, 11-5) to seal their place in the final.

The Indian duo faced stiff competition in the opening game which saw the tide tiltling either side before Dipika and Joshna edged past England's and in 13 minutes.

There was no match to the Indians in the second game, dominating the one-sided contest and picking it in a mere 10 minutes.

The Indian duo will face New Zealand's and in the final on Sunday.

Joelle and Amanda beat Australians and 2-0 (11-9, 11-5) in the other semi-final.

However, in the mixed doubles category, Dipika, who then partnered and settled for a silver, losing to Australia's and in the final.

In a gruelling contest at the Oxenford Studios here, the Indian pair lost the issue 0-2 (8-11, 10-11) against the home pair.

The 31-minute contest saw a stiff fight between the two pairs however, it was the Australians who proved to be better at the end.
