A 45-year-old doctor has been arrested for raping a woman patient inside his clinic here, police said Tuesday.
Sheeshpal was arrested from his clinic in Krishna Nagar area of east Delhi Monday after the victim informed police about the incident.The victim, in her 30s, was being treated by the doctor for over three months as she was diagnosed with a haemoglobin problem.
"The doctor Monday had called the the victim at his clinic for a further checkup. He raped her inside the clinic on the pretext of the checkup," said a police official.
Sheeshpal was arrested after victim's medical report confirmed rape.
