Don't cross 'Lakshman rekha', BJP warns Congress

Reacting to Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi of taking money from some corporate houses, the BJP on Thursday warned the Congress not to cross the limits.

Briefing the media here, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Shrikant Sharma said, "Rahul ji, you level allegations, but don't cross the Lakshman rekha."

He said that the Congress, in its desperation to keep itself afloat, was resorting to levelling wild allegations against the Prime Minister.

"Our Prime Minister is worrying about how to connect the remotest villages with roads, provide water and electricity to them and the Congress is only levelling allegations," Sharma said.
