Explosion rocks China's Tianjin city

An explosion rocked China's Tianjin city on Wednesday night, Xinhua news agency reported. The cause and casualties were not immediately known.

Citing residents, Xinhua said flame lit up the sky and a blast with a big noise blew up dust dozens of metres high. The explosion also shattered glass windows.

Li Jing, a woman who lives hundreds of metres from the explosion site, said she saw the wounded being sent to hospitals.
