At least two military officers and three civilians were killed Wednesday when a suicide bomber hit their twin-cabin vehicle in Pakistan, an official said.

Zahir Shah and Arshad, both Lieutenant-Colonels, were killed in the blast near Rawalpindi, Dawn online quoted Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Asim Bajwa as saying on micro-blogging site Twitter.

The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The initial reports suggests the blast was carried out by a suicide bomber.
