Girl hit by bullet fired at Delhi party

A seven-year-old girl was shot and critically wounded in celebratory firing at a marriage party here Wednesday evening, police said.

The incident happened at Aman Vihar area in west Delhi, police said.

"At the party and few people were firing in the air when the girl was hit by a bullet. She has been taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital," said a police officer, adding that investigation was on to identify the culprit.
